Run for something good

I’m terrified of photo shoots. Sounds funny coming from someone who yuks it up in front of a national audience every day, right?

I’m terrified of photo shoots.

Sounds funny coming from someone who yuks it up in front of a national audience every day, right? But seriously, TV is one thing, a photo shoot is quite another. There’s no action, no direction and there are usually about a dozen humorless people just sitting around scrutinizing your every move.

For these reasons, I couldn’t wait for my photo shoot for the official CIBC Run for the Cure campaign to be over.

And then I showed up and it was…fun!

The photographer (love him) Sandy had me running in circles like a show dog. Luckily for me I could focus on the action, rather than feeling like a big loser.  And he was funny and happy and totally unpretentious. I found myself sweating and enjoying myself immensely. I couldn’t believe it when they told me it was 4pm and the shoot was wrapped.

Here are some behind the scenes pics of the CIBC officials, Rogers sales folks and Cityline publicists and, of course, me being silly and having fun. You don’t see my hair (Janice) and makeup (Tracy P) dynamic duo in these photos, because they were too busy cracking me up.

Stay tuned for the actual campaign which will roll out late summer/early fall. You won’t be able to miss my big head on a billboard near you!
