Boo! Family fun event

I’m 38 years old and addicted to Halloween. There. I said it. Is it the candy? YES. Is it the costumes? YES. Is it the ability to act silly in middle age and not be judged? YES.

I’m 38 years old and addicted to Halloween.

There. I said it.

Is it the candy? YES. Is it the costumes? YES. Is it the ability to act silly in middle age and not be judged? YES.

So here’s an opportunity to get your whole family together for a fun, daytime family event. On October 27, I’ll be hosting the Boo-st Spooktacular event with proceeds going to help eliminate violence and abuse towards children. And here’s the amazing thing: it’s happening on a boat! And not just any boat. It’s the Captain Matthew Flinders Cruise Ship (docked at Queen’s Quay, just west of York Street) from 1:00 to 4:00pm.

If your kids enjoy face painting, Halloween crafts, snacks and drinks – this is the Halloween fête for you. There will also be entertainment by Magen Boys Entertainment, a costume contest for kids and families, a silent auction for the adults, and every, single child goes home with a goody bag. Yup…goodies.

So if Halloween night is too dark and spooky for your little ones (aged 0-10) or if you’re looking for a family-friendly way to support a good cause, come join me on Sunday, October 27. It’s $15 per person (www.boostforkids.org) and children under 1 are free!
