Look #1: Spin class (All items from Winners)

Did you know that you can burn up to 700 calories in a 45 minute spin class? To keep up with the rest of your class, you’ll want to be well prepared with your clothing choices. Fabrics that wick moisture away from the skin are a must when you’re gearing up for any super sweaty activity. Wearing a top with a higher neckline will offer more coverage when hunched over the handle bars. Bold printed leggings are a major trend for any age group, and they’re an easy way to add a style element to a fitness outfit. Choose leggings or cropped pants over boot cut pants to avoid fabric getting caught in the cycling machine. Remember to think about coverage as well: choose pants with a higher cut back that won’t leave you exposed when you’re in the saddle. Gloves are a great addition for extra grip, and a micro-fiber towel that’s ultra-absorbent is another useful item.

Sports bra, $17
Tank top, $10
Printed leggings, $25
Zip hooded jacket, $16
Water bottle, $8
Sports towel, $11
Workout gloves, $13
Running shoes, $50

Look #2: Hot yoga (All items from Titika)

You definitely don’t want to be wearing any extra fabrics while practicing hot yoga, so Ingrie showed us this great outfit that is stylish and convenient. If you want to wear shorts to the gym, this is the way to do it. These shorts have a built-in brief and a seamless stitch, and they’re also lower cut in the back for ease of movement. The added coverage from the brief is ideal when you’re in downward dog! A camisole with a built-in bra is a good idea so that you don’t have to layer in the heat. The 2-in-1 outerwear piece can be worn in the gym, or out as a casual jacket. The top layer of the jacket is wind- and water-repellent.

Tank top, $58
Shorts, $38
2-in-1 hooded jacket, $108
Bag, $78

Look #3: Boot camp / CrossFit (All items from Addition Elle, except for shoes)

Pushing your body to the limit is an excellent way to test your strength and build your endurance in boot camp class. This outfit is a great example of how you can mix comfort with style. If you don’t want to wear too bright of an outfit, adding neutral-coloured fabrics that have textured patterns is a wonderful way to keep your outfit stylish. This outfit includes a crop top with texture for extra interest. A proper-fitting sports bra is a must-have for any cup size. A good fit should feel snug but not overly restrictive and the straps should never dig into your shoulders. To make sure that it is secure and comfortable, be sure to try it on before purchasing it. These layers offer a great transition between different workout sessions.

Sports bra, $35
Hooded crop top, $55
Long sleeve top, $45
Snakeskin print leggings, $50
Skechers sneakers

Look #4: Dance class (All items from Gap)

If you’re relocating your dance moves from the bedroom into the gym, you may want to change out of your pyjamas as well. Clothes that are graceful and have some movement to them will offer you a greater comfort level. You want to opt for a pant instead of leggings for more coverage and so it’s easier when performing leg extensions and raises. The volume at the bottom of a slim boot cut pant balances out proportions.

Sports bra, $30
Tank top, $25
V-neck short sleeve top, $35
Long sleeve striped shirt (at waist), $55
Slim cut straight leg pants, $45
Sneakers, $55
Tote bag, $45

Look #5: Outdoor running (All items from Lolë, except for shoes)

Breathing in the cold crisp air and listening to the birds hum sounds much better than running indoors on a treadmill staring at a blank wall. Before you head into the great outdoors, you need to dress appropriately for the weather. Layering up is a great way to protect you from different weather conditions. The base layer will wick away moisture, the centre layer acts as a wind and water repellent and the top layer adds extra warmth. These shorts and vest are reflective pieces which are key, especially during dark winter days and nighttime. This vest contains polyester-fill and can easily be tossed in the washer and dryer which is an important factor for clothing you’re going to be sweating in. A hat is a must to trap heat, and a neck guard can help retain heat too, without the bulk of a scarf.

Long sleeve top, $70
Black reflective-print hooded zip jacket, $160
Vest, $120
Black reflective-print shorts, $70
Running leggings, $78
Neck guard, $25
Phone arm band, $30
Skechers sneakers
