Randy Feltis

Chef & owner, Oscar’s Restaurant and PIE Wood Fired Pizza

Canadian-born Randy Feltis comes from the small country town of Lake Dalrymple. At a young age, he gravitated towards the kitchen, and by the age of 12, he won the apple pie competition at the local country fair. Developing his entrepreneurial skills before high school, Randy toted his four-wheeler around the neighboring communities selling sweet corn that he grew in his father’s farming fields.

After graduating from George Brown, Randy apprenticed at some of Toronto’s top restaurants before heading to Ireland for a culinary adventure. Upon returning to Canada, the opportunity to own his own spot presented itself and he was head first into Oscar’s Restaurant in 1999 at the age of 24. Oscar’s is still a Barrie staple to this day, and after opening PIE Wood Fired Pizza Joint in 2010, Randy had filled his plate once again. A successful catering company, busy restaurants and appearing as a regular on Cityline has rounded out Randy’s resumé. He welcomed his son Cash in 2011 and lives in Barrie with his wife Sarah.
