We rarely do this on Cityline, but this guest touched my heart.
Every day before the show, I hang out with the audience and chat a bit. We talk about who came in from out of town, what the traffic was like and what’s going on in people’s lives. Today when I asked who was from out of town I got a very excited response from a daughter who proudly told me she brought her mom to the show today for her birthday. Marion (her mom) was turning 80! Marion promptly started crying and it was just the most beautiful thing to see. She was crying because of the celebration, this milestone, the goodness of her daughter and of course this monumental visit to sit in the audience of her favourite show.
So I decided Marion should get the “treatment”.
