Remember this gown?
I wore it to co-host live at the GRAMMYs for City this year. And YOU picked it out for me! You made the right choice as there was plenty of buzz around this floral beauty all night. It was a loan from Freda’s Toronto but I purchased the gown for one specific reason. I want to donate something to a group close to my heart, Trust 15.
Under the banner of Trust 15 are Ladies on the Rise, Men of Distinction and Girls on the Rise — all groups of young ladies and men whom I have read and chatted with and mentored over the past few years.
I’m co-hosting (with my girl Marci Ien, Canada AM) an annual event to raise the money that will literally finance this group for another year. No government handouts, no overhead costs — just operational money to keep the school open two nights a week and provide dinner, remedial help and support for about 50-100 students every week.
