Fun & inspiring Canadian products

Holiday season must-haves from local Canadian hot spots, from Vancouver's Island Salt to delicious chocolates!

Porter’s Tonic syrup: A line of craft tonic syrup made in Calgary, great combined with gin and soda, but can be used in a lot of different cocktails as well as mulled wine like I will have simmering on-air.

Porter’s Tonic

Vancouver Island Salt Co.: A line of boutique salts made in Victoria that are harvested on Vancouver Island and then processed in a variety of ways (smoked, flavoured, etc…). This will go on the bruschetta.

Vancouver Island Salt Co.

Mud + Stone: A Winnipeg-based producer of beautiful ceramic plates, cups and oil vessels, and much more. I will have a small collection of their work and the bruschetta will be on a serving platter of theirs as well.

Origin Handcrafted Goods: A Winnipeg-based company that specializes in AMAZING hand-made knives. The Japanese steel knives are very trendy these days with chefs and home cooks alike, so this is a Canadian-made version of that. So, stunning. I’ll probably have them on display and/or use one to chop something for bruschetta.

Jacek Chocolate: A very talented chocolatier from Edmonton, who is known province-wide for her unique take on chocolate-making. She follows fashion cycles (F/W, S/S) with her truffle series and also will work off of certain pantone colours for seasons. Delicious to bootand she just opened a new location in Canmore.

CAMP Backcountry Spice Kit: A super cool camping spice set made in collaboration with an Alberta based designer, CAMP Brand Goods and Silk Road Spice Merchants, one of Canada’s premier spice suppliers (based in Calgary). It’s awesome!
