5 summer fashion essentials you can save money on

Get on trend for less! Janice Meredith shows us which summer must-buys we can save our cash on.

Sometimes getting all the latest trends in your wardrobe can be a little costly. Lucky for us, Janice Meredith stopped by to show us ways to be more economical with upcoming summer trends!

Tip #1: Light scarves

Light scarves are a great piece to pair with a more simple outfit and because they use less fabric, they tend to be more inexpensive. There are a great deal of colour choices as well, making them a great option to spice up your wardrobe.

Tip #2: Jewellery

Jewellery that has real (or even faux!) crystals tend to be a little bit higher in price. Instead, look for pieces that are more tribal and geometric. Not only do they look great for summer, but they won’t break the bank!

Tip #3: White t-shirts

A white t-shirt is a staple item in your wardrobe, especially for summer. Unfortunately, most white t-shirts stain over time, so they’re not worth spending too much money on. With so many styles and cuts, there’s bound to be a great white t-shirt out there for you. As a bonus, many stores usually have promotions where you can buy multiple at a time.

Tip #4: Belts

Belts are in this season, especially when knotted (check out the video below to see how to do this style!). Look for belts that are versatile, such as the kimono belt, that can be used over jackets in the fall once summer has passed.

Tip #5: Jeans

When it comes to a pair of jeans, it’s worth it to spend less on a pair of jeans that will fade in the wash instead of a more expensive pair that is already the shade you want. Another tip is to buy a more inexpensive trendy pair, because you probably won’t be wearing them for seasons to come.
