My Milestone Year: Your April milestones, and share your May goals!

I'll be taking my fitness to the next level by starting Boot Camp and going (even more) hardcore with my trainer.

Tracy turned the big 4-0 in January, and she’s making the most of her milestone year. Each month, Tracy will be posting about a new goal on her social media accounts — it could be more time with friends, a fitness goal, or volunteering more in the community. Here’s Tracy’s goal for May, and see our April round-up of your goals below:

This month my focus is fitness. Don’t roll your eyes!

I know my focus is fitness every month but summer bodies are made in the winter…and while my fitness game was strong this winter I ate everything that crossed my path. So while attempting to turn the page and get back to clean eating, I’ll also be taking my fitness to the next level by starting Boot Camp and going (even more) hardcore with my trainer. Nothing makes me happier than a fitness goal!

I used to shy away from my “manly” looking arms and my defined quads. Now I embrace them as the best parts of my bod. I’ve always been a glutes gal so nothing’s changed there. I won’t bombard you with fitness posts. Just the odd pic here and there to let you know my sweat technique is on point!

YOUR APRIL GOALS:

This is without a doubt the most terrifyingly vulnerable photo I have ever posted… but it’s also the most personally gratifying! I have been debating all day whether or not I would share my “before” and “after” from the #CitylineWeightLoss Challenge on social media! In fact, when these pics landed in my inbox this morning from @drjoeyshulman, I gasped so loud that my husband thought something terrible had happened. I’ll be honest… I first looked long and hard at the “before” photo, and my initial reaction was a feeling of complete embarrassment! I thought about how… when… and why did I ever let myself get to that point! But then I studied my “after” picture and my eyes started to well up… (happy tears, of course)! I quickly realized just how far I’ve come in 12 short weeks! For all of the buckets of sweat I’ve lost, weight I’ve lifted, miles I’ve run, and healthy eating decisions I’ve made, it has truly become a lifestyle that I love! And although I’ve lost pounds, what I’ve gained is so much more valuable! Confidence, strength (both inside and out), and the feeling that if I could accomplish this, I can accomplish anything! I have been so unbelievably overwhelmed by all of the encouragement and support I’ve received in-person and on social media throughtout my transformation process, especially from those who have been inspired by my journey to start their own ***Oy, my eyes are watering as I type this! So, I have a proposal… if you have been thinking about starting your own healthy lifestyle transformation, I want to be YOUR cheerleader!!! Tag me to your progress posts, share your milestone achievements with me, and holla if you need encouragement (aka. a kick in the kiester). The biggest factor to my success has been my support system, including my social media family, so let me support YOU! Let’s bring healthy back! I still have a few more lbs to go! P.S. • Huma David said: Great goal, Tracy! Mine is exactly the same.
  • @ashana31 said: Love this idea! It’s also #MyMilestoneYear. I turn 30 in a month. My goal is to take care of myself. With a toddler, husband and household days get hectic. I plan of taking care of me a little bit more each day. Thanks @tracycityline for the inspiration.
  • @beesince83 said: My goal this month is to take some things off my plate that no longer serve me, in order to make room for new opportunities and more family time.
  • @haffers2 said: My goal this year is to get stronger. After having labrum surgery in Feb I have to get my lifting numbers over the three digit numbers… I’m 46 with 3 teen girls, an amazing hubby (my lifting partner) and a full time job… so life is busy!
