Ever seen an old chair and thought that you’d love to give it a whole new look? The Chair Affair is an annual auction-based gala put on by the Furniture Bank, where they team up with designers to repurpose and reimagine old chairs, with all the proceeds going towards the charity’s efforts to help people in need furnish their homes.
This year, more than 30 designers selected chairs donated to the Furniture Bank and gave them dramatic makeovers, all fitting to 2014’s “Canada” theme. Among these talented designers were our very own Sharon Grech and Shai DeLuca-Tamasi — take a look through the gallery and video below to see some of our favourites!
The Chair Affair silent auction takes place at the Palais Royale in Toronto on November 12. Tickets are available here.
