DIY holiday stockings
Materials:
Pre-gessoed canvas cloth
Scissors
Sharpie marker
Needle and thread
Craft stencils
Benjamin Moore paint samples in “Indi Go-Go”, “Pink Mix” and “Frostine”
Faux fur trim
How To:
Draw the outline of a stocking on the canvas cloth and cut out 2 reverse pieces.
Using a needle and thread, hand stitch the edges together.
Base coat both sides of the stocking with a paint colour of your choice and then layer over a stencil pattern.
Add faux fur to the top by hand stitching, and add a small looped piece so that it can be hung by the chimney with care.
*As an alternate to canvas cloth, try making a stocking with inexpensive burlap.
